Formats explained

Test, ODI and T20

Three formats, different rhythms and different questions.

Test cricket

A standard Test can extend across five days, with two innings available to each side. Follow the match situation rather than comparing only the current score.

ODI cricket

A standard ODI allows one innings of up to 50 overs per side. Interruptions and competition conditions can change the available overs.

T20 cricket

A standard T20 allows one innings of up to 20 overs per side. The shorter allocation changes the pace and how you interpret a passage of play.

Check the conditions

Use the actual competition rules for interruptions, ties and other exceptions. These introductions are not a complete match rulebook.
